Bauhaus Beehive

BAU hat den Künstler Tamás Kaszás (geboren 1976 in Dunaújváros, Ungarn) für eine Residenz nach Südtirol eingeladen. Während seines Aufenthaltes hat er den experimentellen Bienenstock Bauhaus Beehive realisiert.
In seiner künstlerischen Arbeit beschäftigt sich Kaszás mit Kollektivität, Kollaps, zukunftsfähigen und autonomen Überlebensstrategien des Menschen in der Natur, dabei arbeitet er mit fiktiver Anthropologie und Volkswissenschaften, aber auch spirituellen Wissenschaften.
Im Rahmen des Projektes Animal Farm, setzt sich Kaszás nach der Realisierung von künstlichen Vogelhäusern, erneut damit auseinander eine häusliche Einheit in die Tierwelt zu übertragen, wobei er diesmal auf eine komplexe Struktur trifft, deren Entwicklung und Konfiguration stark durch die menschliche Hand geprägt wurde.

Bauhaus Beehive, produziert in engem Austausch mit lokalen Imkern und Handwerkern, wurde am Samstag, 26. September in der Gärtnerei Galanthus in Lana, im Kontext des historischen Bienenhauses von Romedius Girtler, zum ersten Mal der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Neben einer visuellen Einführung des Projektes durch den anwesenden Künstler, gibt Gärtnerin Annemarie einen Einblick in die Beziehung von Pflanze und Biene. Das Projekt Bauhaus Beehive wurde in einem Gespräch zwischen Kaszás und Albuin Stimpfl sowohl aus künstlerischer als auch aus der Perspektive eines erfahrenen Imkers vertieft.
Nach drei Jahren auf dem Gelände der Bildungsstätte für Bienenkunde in Altenburg ist der Bauhaus Beehive nun seit Juli 2019 auf dem Gelände des Bienenmuseums in Oberbozen permanenten installiert und kann von Mai bis Oktober kostenlos besichtigt werden.
Tamás Kaszás Künstlerresidenz wurde realisiert dank der Unterstützung von und der Zusammenarbeit mit:

BAU has invited the artist Tamás Kaszás (1976, Dunaújváros, Hungary) for a residency in South Tyrol/Alto Adige. During his stay he realised the project Bauhaus Beehive.
Through his work, Tamás Kaszás explores notions of collectivity, collapse, sustainability and autonomous survival strategies of human beings in nature, combining fictional anthropology, ethnic studies and spiritual sciences.
Following the construction of a series of birdhouses (the first initiatives of the Animal Farm), with the Bauhaus Beehive Kaszás once more reflects on translating the domestic unit to animal use, this time thinking about a structure whose history and configuration has been so much conditioned by human hands.

On Saturday, September 26 the public had the opportunity to view the Bauhaus Beehive by Tamás Kaszás in a historical beehouse located in the Garden Market Galanthus in Lana for the first time. During the event, the public got an insight into the project’s research through a small display and guided tours by the artist and learned more about the relation between plants and bees from the experienced gardener Annemarie. A conversation between the artist Tamás Kaszás and the local beekeeper Albuin Stimpfl introduced the beehive and its peculiarities from an artistic and beekeeper’s point of view.
After three year at the Beekeeper’s school in Altenburg the Bauhaus Beehive has found its permanent home at the Beemuseum on Renon/Ritten and can be visited for free from May to October.

BAU ha invitato l’artista Tamás Kaszás (nato nel 1976 a Dunaújváros, Ungheria) per una residenza in Alto Adige. Durante la sua permanenza ha realizzato l’alveare sperimentale Bauhaus Beehive.
Il lavoro di Tamás Kaszás si sviluppa attorno ai concetti di collettività, collasso, sostenibilità e strategie di sopravvivenza autonome degli esseri umani nella natura, in una modalità di ricerca che combina antropologia fittizia, studi etnici e scienze spirituali.
In seguito alla costruzione di una serie di case per uccelli (le prime proposte della Animal Farm), con il Bauhaus Beehive Kaszás aggiorna la sua riflessione sulla trasformazione delle unità domestiche per l’uso di un animale, pensando ora ad una struttura la cui storia e configurazione è stata così tanto condizionata da mani umane come l’alveare.

Sabato 26 settembre il pubblico aveva l’opportunità di vedere il Bauhaus Beehive di Tamás Kaszás nella giardineria Galanthus a Lana nel contesto di un’ apiario storico.
Durante l’evento, il pubblico aveva la possibilità non solo di ottenere un resoconto della ricerca precedente al progetto attraverso un piccolo percorso allestito e visite guidate con l’artista, ma anche venire a sapere di più sulla relazione tra le piante e le api dialogando con l’esperta giardiniera Annemarie. Una conversazione tra l’artista Tamás Kaszás e l’apicoltore locale Albuin Stimpfl introduceva l’alveare e le sue peculiarità da un punto di vista artistico e d’apicoltura.
Dopo tre anni all’ Apiario provinciale del Centro di ricerca e sperimentazione Laimburg a Castelvecchio il Bauhaus Beehive ora è collocato al Museo delle Api sul Renon dove può essere visitato gratuitamente da Maggio a Ottobre.
