Thomas Wilhalm ist Botaniker am Naturmuseum Bozen. Im Rahmen der BAU Residency 2019 mit dem Künstlerduo Cooking Sections, nahm Thomas Wilhalm an der Almwiesenverkostung teil und warf Fragen zur Artenvielfalt der Landschaft und deren Nutzung auf. Wilhalm hat ein Herbarium der Hagneralm mit 24 Futterpflanzen erstellt, welches in die Sammlung des Naturmuseums Bozen eingegangen ist. Visuell wurde das Herbarium für die Verpackung des FLORAE Käses benutzt.
Thomas Wilhalm is a botanist at the Museum of Natural History in Bolzano. During the BAU Residency of 2019 with artist duo Cooking Sections, Wilhalm took part in the Alpine Meadow Tasting and raised various questions about the biological diversity of the landscape and its exploitation. Wilhalm put together a Hagneralm Herbarium of twenty-four forage crops, which is now held in the collection of the Museum of Natural History. The appearance of the herbarium was used for the packaging design of the cheese FLORAE.
Thomas Wilhalm è botanico presso il Museo di Scienze Naturali di Bolzano. Nell’ambito della BAU Residency del 2019 con il duo d’artisti Cooking Sections, Thomas Wilhalm ha partecipato alla degustazione di formaggi d’alpeggio e ha sollevato interrogativi sulla biodiversità del paesaggio e sul suo utilizzo. Wilhalm ha creato un erbario della Hagneralm con 24 piante da foraggio, che ora è stato aggiunto alla collezione del Museo di Scienze Naturali. Visivamente l’erbario è stato usato per il confezionamento del formaggio FLORAE.
