Linda Jasmin Mayer geboren 1986 ist Künstlerin . Sie lebt und arbeitet aktuell in ihrem Geburtsort Meran. Ausbildung: BFA in Bildhauerei an der Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Mailand, Italien 2010. MFA, Time and Space Arts an der Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki 2014; The School of Media Arts an der Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Kopenhagen, 2014-2015. ISP Maumaus Escola de Artes Visuais, Lissabon 2018.
Die Arbeiten von Linda Jasmin Mayer wurden in Einzel,- und Gruppenausstellungen in Italien, Spanien, Finnland, Dänemark, Österreich, Deutschland, Bulgarien, Sri Lanka, Ägypten und Russland gezeigt. Ihre Abschlussarbeit How to break the Iceerhielt 2013 den Preis der Freunde der Kunstakademie Helsinki (Kuvataideakatemian Ystävät). Ihre Videoarbeit Snowcatswurde unter anderem 2014 auf dem Trento Film Festival, kuratiert von Mart/Italien, gezeigt. 2016 hat sie mit der Arbeit Invisible Walls, in Zusammenarbeit mit der finnischen Künstlerin Sara Pathirane, an der Colombo Art Biennale (Sri Lanka) teilgenommen.
Im Juli 2019 stellte BAU drei Filme bei Kunst Meran unter dem Title PARROTS, FERN AND OTHER FORMS OF BEING vor. Filme, die Perspektiven verrücken, indem sie Tiere, Pflanzen und andere Wesen in Beziehung zum Menschen stellen. Von Linda Jasmin Mayer wurde Dover fermarsi?(2017) präsentiert. In Folge hat BAU Linda Jasmin Mayer auch eingeladen ein Video Still des Filmes im Online Artstore des Südtiroler Online-Magazines salto.bz zu präsentieren.

Linda Jasmin Mayer (b. 1986 in Meran, Italy) is a visual artist. Her artistic practice covers a broad spectrum of strategies and forms of expression. Including moving image, sound works, participatory art and sculptural explorations. She makes use of moving image and sound in order to transform spaces into “alternative” rooms, creating immersive installations that aim to offer space for contemplation. She received a MFA from the Time and Space Arts study programme of the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki in 2014 and studied at the School of Media Arts of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen in 2015. She graduated with a BFA in Sculpture Studies from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan in 2010. In 2018 she attended the Independent Study Programme of Maumaus in Lisbon. Her works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Italy, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, Egypt and Russia. Her graduation work, How to Break the Ice, received the Kuvataideakatemian Ystävät prize in 2013. Her video work Snowcats has been screened on several occasions, including at the Trento Film Festival in 2014 in a screening curated by MART/Italy. In 2016 she participated at the Colombo Art Biennale in Sri Lanka. In July 2019 BAU Agency presented three films at Kunst Meran | Merano Arte under the tilte PARROTS, FERN AND OTHER FORMS OF BEING – films that shift our perspectives by setting animals, plants and other beings in relation to humans. Linda Jasmin Mayer presented her film Dove fermarsi? (2017). BAU subsequently invited her to present a still from the film on the online Artstore at salto.bz.

Linda Jasmin Mayer è un’artista nata nel 1986 a Merano, dove attualmente vive e lavora. Formazione: BFA in scultura all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milano, Italia 2010. MFA, Time and Space Arts presso la Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki 2014; The School of Media Arts alla Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts di Kopenhagen, 2014-15. ISP Maumaus Escola de Artes Visuais, Lisbona 2018. I lavori di Linda Jasmin Mayer sono stati esposti in molte mostre personali e collettive in Italia, Spagna, Finlandia, Danimarca, Austria, Germania, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, Egitto e Russia. La sua tesi “How to break the Ice” ha ricevuto il Premio degli Amici dell’Accademia delle Arti di Helsinki (Kuvataideakatemian Ystävät). Il suo lavoro video “Snowcats” è stato presentato al Trento Film Festival nel 2014, a cura del Mart, Italia. Nel 2016 ha partecipato alla Biennale d’Arte di Colombo con l’opera “Invisible Walls” (in collaborazione con Sara Pathirane). Nel luglio 2019 BAU Agency ha presentato tre film al Kunst Meran/Merano Arte raccolti sotto al titolo PARROTS, FERN AND OTHER FORMS OF BEING. Film che stravolgono le prospettive, mettendo animali, piante e altre creature in relazione con l’uomo. È stato presentato il suo film “Dove fermarsi?” (2017). In seguito BAU ha invitato Linda Lasmin Mayer a presentare online, sulla piattaforma Artstore di salto.bz, un fermo immagine del film.
