Künstlerin
Kristina Buch (1983, DE), Künstlerin, lebt und arbeitet in Düsseldorf. Ihre Arbeit ist stark konzeptuell, humorvoll, poetisch und präzise-existentiell. Nach Abschluss des Biologiestudiums studierte sie evangelische Theologie, bevor sie ihren MA am Royal College of Art, London und später ihren Meisterschüler bei Rosemarie Trockel absolvierte. Als jüngste Teilnehmerin der dOCUMENTA(13) erhielt sie 2012 den Trieste Young European Artist Award. Zwischen 2013 und 2014 war sie Assistenzprofessorin unter Christov-Bakargiev an der Goethe Universität in Frankfurt am Main. An der Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Basel wurde sie 2015 die erste Trägerin der „Next Society” Professur.
Auf Einladung von BAU realisierte Kristina Buch die permanente Installation It’s normal that reality happens. (these games will fall apart) im Rahmen von Art & Nature 2016.

Kristina Buch (1983, DE) is an artist based in Düsseldorf. Her work is often highly conceptual, humorous and poetic, yet precise and existential. She holds a degree in biology and studied protestant theology before achieving her MA at the Royal College of Art, London and studying with Rosemarie Trockel in Düsseldorf. As the youngest participant at dOCUMENTA(13), Buch was awarded the Trieste Young European Artist Award in 2012. Holding an assistant professorship with Christov-Bakargiev at Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main (2013-2014), she became the first holder of the “Next Society” professorship in 2015 at Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Basel.

Kristina Buch (1983, DE) è un’artista che vive a Düsseldorf. Il suo lavoro è spesso concettuale, ironico e poetico, e al tempo stesso preciso ed esistenziale. È laureata in biologia e ha studiato teologia protestante prima di conseguire il MA al Royal College of Art, Londra e la laurea con la docente Rosemarie Trockel a Düsseldorf. Buch è stato conferito il Trieste Young European Artist Award nel 2012 per essere stata la partecipante più giovane a dOCUMENTA(13). Docente Assistente a Christov-Bakargiev all’Università Goethe a Frankfurt/Main (2013-2014), è stata la prima a ricevere la cattedra “Next Society” nel 2015 presso la Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst, Basilea.
Su invito di BAU Kristina Buch ha realizzato l’istallazione permanente It’s normal that reality happens. (these games will fall apart) nel contesto di Art & Nature 2016.
