Was könnte der „den Geschmack zukünftiger Landschaften“ sein? Die Publikation vereint Künstler:innen, Wissenschaftler:innen, Landwirt:innen und Bäcker:innen der BAU-Community. Durch die Linse von Kochen, Essen und Zusammenkommen erkunden sie wichtige Themen wie Gemeinschaft, Landschaft, Ökologie und Klimawandel. Das Buch erscheint anlässlich des 10-jährigen Jubiläums von BAU, Institut für Zeitgenössische Kunst und Ökologie südlich der Alpen. Eingebettet in einen vielsprachigen Raum sehen wir die Landschaft als einen lebendigen Ort, an dem menschliche und mehr-als-menschliche Bewegungen Spuren hinterlassen.
Die Publikation Der Geschmack künftiger Landschaften versammelt eine Serie von Text- und Bildbeiträgen, die zum einen Rezepte und Rituale des Zusammenkommens vorschlagen (Alvaro Urbano, Ela Spalding), der Verbindung mit der Landschaft und der damit verbundenen Knappheit der Ressourcen nachspüren (Emma Smith, Tue Greenfort, Grace Gloria Denis, Ivo De Pellegrin, Uriel Orlow) oder anhand ganz konkreter Ingredienzien unsere Wahrnehmung der Landschaft schärfen (Ingrid Hora, Mariah Nielson, Elena Braida) sowie unseren mensch-zentrierten Blick auf das Essen hin zum Tier verschieben (Filipa Ramos). Einige Beiträge sprechen über die Landschaft der Zukunft als Träger von Wissen aus der Vergangenheit (Ulrike Kindl, Evelyn Kustatscher, Cooking Sections) oder entdecken die Verwobenheit vom Menschen mit der (organischen) Materie, die ihn umgibt (Katrin Hornek) und sehen die Landschaft als Projektionsfläche für Entwicklungen von morgen (Marc Zebisch, Fernando García-Dory). What can a taste of future landscapes be? This volume gathers artists, scientists, farmers, bakers from the BAU Community.Through the lens of cooking, eating and coming together they explorepressing themes such as community, landscape, ecology and climate change.The book is published on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of BAU, institute for Contemporary Art and Ecology established south of the Alps. Set in a multilingual area, we regard the landscape as a living site where differentforms of life interact and leave traces.
The publication gathers a series of textual and visual contributions that propose recipes and rituals for coming together (Alvaro Urbano, Ela Spalding), explore the connection with the landscape and the scarcity of resources associated with it (Emma Smith, Tue Greenfort, Grace Gloria Denis, Ivo De Pellegrin, Uriel Orlow) or sharpen our perception of the landscape through concrete ingredients (Ingrid Hora, Mariah Nielson, Elena Braida) and shift our human-centred view of food towards the animal (Filipa Ramos).
Some contributions talk about the landscape of the future as a carrier of knowledge from the past (Ulrike Kindl, Evelyn Kustatscher, Cooking Sections) or discover the interweaving of humans with the (organic) matter that surrounds them (Katrin Hornek) and see the landscape as a projection screen for tomorrow’s developments (Marc Zebisch, Fernando García–Dory). There are texts that propose concrete work with the land and its fruits (Daniele Piscopiello, Familie Mayer Unterganzner, Helga Seeber) or poetic narratives and instructions for being and coming together (Futurefarmers, Barbara Gamper, Karin Welponer and Emanuele Guidi – Ar/Ge Kunst, Kristina Buch, Åbäke / Charlotte York) and rituals for eating together (Angelo Plessas, Martino Gamper) and an imaginary space of future plants (Caldera Kids).

Che cosa può significare “assaporare i paesaggi del futuro”? Questo volume raccoglie artisti, scienziati, agricoltori e panettieri della Comunità BAU. Attraverso la lente della cucina, del mangiare e della convivialità, esplorano temi urgenti come comunità, paesaggio, ecologia e cambiamenti climatici. Il libro viene pubblicato in occasione del decimo anniversario di BAU, istituto per Arte Contemporanea ed Ecologia situato a sud delle Alpi. Ambientato in un’area multilingue, consideriamo il paesaggio come un sito vivo in cui diverse forme di vita interagiscono e lasciano tracce.
La pubblicazione raccoglie una serie di contributi testuali e visivi che propongono ricette e rituali per stare insieme(Álvaro Urbano, Ela Spalding), esplorano la connessione con il paesaggio e la scarsità delle risorse ad esso legate (Emma Smith, Tue Greenfort, Grace Gloria Denis, Ivo De Pellegrin, Uriel Orlow) o affinano la nostra percezione del paesaggio attraverso ingredienti concreti (Ingrid Hora, Mariah Nielson, Elena Braida) e spostano la nostra visione antropocentrica del cibo verso l’animale (Filipa Ramos).
Alcuni contributi parlano del paesaggio futuro come portatore di conoscenze dal passato (Ulrike Kindl, Evelyn Kustatscher, Cooking Sections) o scoprono l’intreccio tra esseri umani e materia (organica) circostante (Katrin Hornek) e vedono il paesaggio come schermo di proiezione per gli sviluppi di domani (Marc Zebisch, Fernando García–Dory).
